These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ghar Thak, a multi-vendor cash-on-delivery (COD) marketplace that connects customers with local sellers and delivery riders in their city. By browsing the mall, creating an account, placing an order, selling, or delivering on Ghar Thak, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Ghar Thak operates a city-local COD mall: customers discover shops and products in their city, sellers list and fulfill orders, and Ghar Tak riders deliver. We facilitate discovery, ordering, and delivery coordination. We are not the seller of record for third-party products unless we expressly say so. Sellers are responsible for product accuracy, quality, legality, and preparation for pickup.
2. City-local marketplace
Customers only see and normally order from sellers in the same marketplace city (for example Quetta customers see Quetta sellers; Karachi and Lahore work the same way). If a product or shop is not in your city, the mall may show that it is not available in your city. You should set your city / browse location in the header so listings stay accurate.
3. Browsing and accounts
You may browse products and shops without an account. An account may be required or useful for order history and some features. If you create an account, provide accurate information (including a valid phone number) and keep your login secure. Website self-signup typically creates a customer account. Seller and rider accounts are handled through their respective apps and approval flows.
4. Orders and cash on delivery
Orders on Ghar Thak are typically paid in cash on delivery. You agree to be reasonably available at the delivery address, to open and inspect the parcel as allowed under our Returns, Refund & COD policy, and to pay the stated amount when you accept the order. Refusal after a fair inspection, or cancellation according to platform rules, is handled per those rules. Once you pay and accept, the sale is final as described in our Returns policy.
5. Sellers, riders, and Ghar Tak Delivery
Sellers must list truthful product information, prepare accepted orders promptly, and comply with applicable law. Delivery on Ghar Thak is Ghar Tak Delivery: platform-approved riders pick up from the shop and deliver to the customer. There is no separate “Seller Delivery” fulfillment mode in the product today. Riders must handle parcels carefully, follow delivery instructions, allow reasonable inspection before COD payment, and collect COD amounts only as directed by the platform.
6. Fees, commission, and monthly rent
Customers pay product prices plus a delivery fee calculated from distance and weight (see Delivery & Fees). Sellers are charged platform commission on sold goods (category rates or an admin override shown in the seller MoU / finance views) and may owe a monthly shop rent configured by Ghar Thak admin. Rider pay follows admin rider-fee settings (often tied to the buyer delivery fee or a flat amount). Amounts shown at checkout or in seller/rider apps for a given order are authoritative. We may update fee structures; material changes apply going forward.
7. Delivery coverage (~30 km)
Delivery fees are banded up to about 30 km (fee caps beyond that band). Nearby browse radius in settings is a soft discovery aid and may be shorter. Delivery availability depends on rider availability and service coverage — a fee estimate does not guarantee a rider for every address or time.
8. Prohibited use
You may not misuse the platform, place fraudulent or abusive orders, harass sellers or riders, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or disrupt the service, sell illegal or prohibited goods, or otherwise violate these Terms or the law. We may suspend or remove accounts and refuse service where we reasonably believe a violation has occurred.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ghar Thak is not liable for product quality disputes between customers and sellers beyond coordinating the marketplace as described, for delays caused by sellers, riders, traffic, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability related to any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order (if any) or a reasonable equivalent for non-paying browse use.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Ghar Thak after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above will change when we publish revisions.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Courts in Pakistan have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
